Please welcome the newest member of my family.
Surly Long Haul Trucker. Just happened to be in the right place at the right time yesterday. The price was too good to refuse and the size was right, I had to have it. Slept on it, and in the morning, sitting in the dentist chair, the only thing keeping me sane was the thought of this beautiful frame and the potential she had.
Building her up as a 1x7 everyday work horse. 700x32c tires are the goal. I wouldn’t be surprised to see full fenders soon. Eventually, I will be bolting on some racks, attaching a set a panniers, and pedaling off into the distance, maybe for good. Hell that doesn’t sound too bad on this awesome frame.
